On this page, you will find general information on how to get to Andorra by bus from all major airports, including the bus schedules and fares.  You can also reserve seats on the public bus and even rent a whole mini-bus with driver which is more economical for large parties.

General information:

In order to get to Andorra by bus, there are 2 options:

1) Take the public bus (regular sevice) from or to Barcelona, Girona, Toulouse airports or >Toulouse train station to your hotel, holiday apartment or chalet.
2) Hire a private bus with a driver from all cites and airports right to your door or vice versa.

� Public daily bus service (NOVATEL)

Reserve your seats on the regular bus here: We will send your confirmation in 24 hours, working days. To reserve, you will need: a) a credit card (Mastercard or Visa) b) passport numbers, nationalities and names of all passengers c) There are 2 terminals in Barcelon airport, 1 and 2. Pros:

Cons:

• The schedules of the public bus service may not suit you.  You may, depending on the schedule, have to wait at the airport on your arrival or departure day.
• The bus will not wait for you if your flight is late.  Neither will it wait for you if you are late on your departure day.
• The public bus service only goes to Toulouse (airport and train station), Barcelona and Girona airports.

* Careful: the service marked with an (*) only operates from Dec. st 2012 until March 31st 2013 and only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

IMPORTANT NOTE CONCERNING THE GIRONA-ANDORRA ROUTE: from July 1st to November 30th 2012, the bus ONLY runs on Fridays and Sundays. No service on August 15th nor on November 1st.

Resorts:
Barcelona and Girona buses: all villages and ski resorts in Andorra such as Arinsal, Soldeu, Saint Julia, Escaldes, La Massana, Ordino, El Tarter, Soldeu, etc.
Toulouse bus: all villages and ski resorts in Andorra except El Tarter and Soldeu as they are between Andorra la Vella and Pas de la Casa so the arrival and departure times form El Tarter and Soldeu are 15 minutes before or after those of Pas de la Casa:

All arrival times are approximate and depend on traffic, weather conditions etc.

Children:
Infants (0-3 years) travel free and Children (4-11 years) travel at half-price.

 

• All bookings made through us must be confirmed by us first. You will receive the corresponding vouchers via E-mail or fax.
• Bus service does not operate on the 25th December or the 1st January.
• Arrival times are approximate.  Buses can be delayed due to traffic, weather conditions etc. Arrival times at the resorts may vary according to the location of the resort.
• Departure times from the resorts in Andorra may vary according to the location of the resort.  Therefore, the departure time (from the resorts in Andorra) on your voucher may differ slightly compared to the departure time on the above schedule.  You will be given the EXACT time of departure from your resort when you reconfirm your return departure time and day by calling the bus company (+376) 803 789.  You must do this at least one working day before departure from Andorra. Failing to do so will mean that the bus will not come and pick you up! (applies to door-to-door transfers only). This is important as the departure times may vary according to traffic, time of day, snow conditions etc. Please be ready to leave at least 15 minutes before scheduled departure time. The bus may be early and won't wait.
• There are 2  NOVATEL bus stops at Barcelona airport. 
  Terminal 1 bus stop: ground floor, quays 7 to 12.
  Terminal 2 bus stop: between terminals "T2A" and "T2B", opposite the Miro wall painting, on the other side of the wide street that passes in front of the airport, under the 3 flags.
• The NOVATEL bus stop in Andorra-la-Vella is at the Andorra bus station.
• The NOVATEL bus stop at Toulouse airport is in front of arrival hall n� 1. For the Matabiau train station: right next door to the station (gare routière).
• The NOVATEL bus stop at Girona airport is in the parking lot for buses.
• Luggage: Maximum 2 pieces of luggage per person, not exceeding a total of 20 KG.  Luggage is NOT insured during transport and NOVATEL cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged luggage.
• NOVATEL cannot be responsible for passengers that miss their bus for not being at the pre-arranged place and time of departure.
• Late bus arrivals or departures: If you miss your plane due to late arrival or departure of the bus for whatever reason, you will not be entitled to a refund of any kind. NOVATEL cannot be held responsible for late arrivals due to traffic, accidents or weather conditions. In case of a break-down or accident, NOVATEL will provide another vehicle for the passengers to continue their trip. Under no circumstances will NOVATEL pay for passenger's expenses of any kind (taxis, hotels
• Passengers that do not present their voucher upon boarding the bus will have to buy a new ticket and will not be entitled to a refund.
• Cancellation fees: more than 48 hours: 10% of the price of the ticket, between 48 hours and 2 hours: 30% of the price of the ticket, thereafter and "no-shows: no refund.

Always ask the driver for your receipt.  It is the only document to give to the insurance company that proves that you were on the bus in case of an accident.
 

Pros:

• More convenient as the bus will pick you up and drop you off at any destination at the time you want, meaning that you avoid having to wait at the airport on your departure or arrival day. This service is especially recommended if you have children with you.
• The bus will take you directly to your apartment, your chalet or your hotel and pick you up again from there on your departure day.
• Door-to-door service from all airports (Girona, Barcelona, Toulouse, Reus, Girona, Carcassonne and Perpignan) and towns (such as Barcelona city centre) to all destinations in Andorra.
• The bus will not leave until the entire party is aboard.  In other words, it will wait for you if your flight is late for example..

Cons:

The prices below are valid until April 30th 2013 and include the new 4% sales tax and are per bus, not per person.
 

Read this, it's important:
Note 1: There is a supplement of 55,00 Euros for early departures/late arrivals.� This applies to flights arriving before 10:30 or departing after 18:00.�
Note 2: there is a 20% supplement on all transfers on Saturdays and Sundays between Decembre 15th and April 15th
Note 3: There is a supplement if you want to be picked up (or dropped off) in town instead of the airport.
Note 4: For transfers to Pas de la Casa from airports except Toulouse and Carcassonne: +70,00 Euros for vehicles for up to 3 persons, +100,00 E from 4 to 16 persons, +160,00 Euros from 17 to 55 persons

• You MUST reconfirm your departure time from or to airports by calling the NOVATEL bus company (+376) 803 789 at least one working day before departure.  Failing to do so will result in the non-refundable cancellation of the reservation.  Departure time may vary depending on snow conditions etc. You will be given the exact departure time when you call to reconfirm.
• Luggage: Maximum 2 pieces of luggage per person, not exceeding a total of 20 KG.  Luggage is NOT insured during transport and NOVATEL cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged luggage.
• Size of bus: the 7-seater bus has 7 seats but that leaves VERY little space for luggage. Same problem with the 11-seater.  If you are 6 persons with luggage, you'll have to reserve the 11-seater and if you are 10 persons, you'll have to reserve the 16-seater depending on the amount of of luggage you have.
• Cancellations: cancellations must be made at least one week in advance! Cancellations must be made at least one week in advance!  Any cancellations made thereafter or "no-shows" will NOT be refunded.
• Late bus arrivals or departures: If you miss your plane due to late arrival or departure of the bus for whatever reason, you will not be entitled to a refund of any kind. NOVATEL cannot be held responsible for late arrivals due to traffic, accidents or weather conditions. In case of a break-down or accident, NOVATEL will provide another vehicle for the passengers to continue their trip.
