Try and avoid these afternoons if possible.
A
little advice:
If
you are planning to combine Caldea with other activities,
we strongly recommend going to Caldea in the afternoon (except in winter
because Caldea gets very crowded as of 15:00 when all the skiers come off
the slopes). Your stay is supposed to be relaxing. Therefore,
try and arrive the day before you start at Caldea and plan to leave one
day after. Avoid school holiday periods if possible.
Do
I have to reserve my time of entrance?
The
main spa has a maximum capacity of 500 people. This number is reached
on weekends, during school holidays and in winter as of 15:00. It would
be a shame to go all the way to Caldea and not be able to get in.
We strongly recommend that you reserve your entrances at least 2 working
days in advance!
Water
composition:
the
thermal water at Caldea is sulphurous, rich in sodium, silica, sulphur
(extracted for your comfort), trace elements and is as unctuous as thermal
plankton. The water found at Escaldes is amongst the hottest in the
Pyrenees (68º). Used in its natural form, it has an antalgic,
skin healing effect, relieves lung congestion and is anti-allergic.
The water temperature at Caldea varies from 14º to 36º C
depending on the pools, the maximum water depth is 1m30.
| Future
mums:
Although the main element at Caldea is water, it is not a medical centre. Therefore, there are no restrictions for future mums. However, we recommend you consult your doctor. |
