We remind you that certain areas at Caldea are wet and slippery.  We recommend that you be  careful, especially when using the stairs.  Do not run.  Walk carefully in order to avoid accidents.

Children:
children under 5 are not allowed into Caldea.  Children between 5 and 7 must bring an identity card.  Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.  We recommend choosing the the "Club Companion" formula for children.

Bathrobes, towels, bathing suits, bathing caps and sandals:
Caldea will provide you with a bathrobe, towel and sandals.  However, you may bring your own bathrobe and towel and you may go barefoot.  It is not permitted to enter with your own sandals for hygiene reasons. Seeing that the water at Caldea is not in a closed circuit, all bathing suits are permitted and bathing caps are not obligatory.

Plasters and bandages:
It is not permitted to enter Caldea with a plaster or with wounds that are not completely healed, even if covered with a bandage or plastic bag.

Important:
Tuesday and Thursday afternoons as of 15:00 is when Caldea admits school groups.  Try and avoid these afternoons if possible.

A little advice:
Caldea makes you very tired.  If you are planning to combine Caldea with other activities, we strongly recommend going to Caldea in the afternoon (except in winter because Caldea gets very crowded as of 15:00 when all the skiers come off the slopes).  Your stay is supposed to be relaxing.  Therefore, try and arrive the day before you start at Caldea and plan to leave one day after.  Avoid school holiday periods if possible.

Do I have to reserve my time of entrance?
Reservations for the Club are obligatory.  Besides, it would be a shame to go al the way to Caldea and not be able to get in!  As one The main spa has a maximum capacity of 500 people.  This number is reached on weekends, during school holidays and in winter as of 15:00. It would be a shame to go all the way to Caldea and not be able to get in.  As going to the Club automatically included treatments, we strongly recommend that you reserve your entrances at least 2 working days in advance!

Your stay at the Club:

  • Access to the Club is limited (max 25 persons) in order to guarantee a relaxing atmosphere.  We therefore recommend that you reserve well in advance.
  • Caldea is not a medical centre, therefore our clients are free to use all of the centre's installations during a 3 to 5 hour period per day depending on the programme.
  • When you confirm your reservation, you must specify time of day at which you want to begin programme.  Please mention if you prefer going to the Club in the morning or in the afternoon for the following days.
  • Your programme will start immediately after a casual interview with the person responsible for your programme in order to set up the time table.  After a guided tour of the centre, you will be free to use all of the installations.
  • It is essential to be on time for your treatments (massages, baths, beauty treatments, etc.).
  • The treatments which are at your disposal on a "self-service" basis (saunas, thermal baths etc.) are not subjected to a  time-table and can be used at will.

Water composition:
the thermal water at Caldea is sulphurous, rich in sodium, silica, sulphur (extracted for your comfort), trace elements and is as unctuous as thermal plankton.  The water found at Escaldes is amongst the hottest in the Pyrenees (68º).  Used in its natural form, it has an antalgic, skin healing effect, relieves lung congestion and is anti-allergic.  The water temperature at Caldea varies from 14º to 36º C  depending on the pools, the maximum water depth is 1m30.

Caldea uses Thalgo® beauty products.
