General information: Chalet C12 is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood just 200 meters from the gondola that takes you to the Arinsal Pal ski resort. The Ordino-Arcalis resort is 20 minutes away by car. The entrance to the Coma Pedrosa Natural Park is within walking distance and Andorra-la-Vella is 8km away. The South facing chalet is surrounded by 1000 square meters of private garden. It is not luxurious but very welcoming, clean and warm. Some explanation is needed concerning this chalet which is run as a cross between a bed & breakfast and a catered chalet:

You rent either half of the chalet (maximum 6 guests, either on the first or second floor) or the entire chalet (maximum 12 guests).. You
will NOT have to share bedroom areas or bathrooms with guests you do
not know.
Each family or group of friends will have their own floor.
For example, a couple with 2 children would be given ALL the bedrooms
on the 2nd
floor even
if the total capacity is for 6 persons. |

The Meals: Marie-Pascale enjoys cooking sophisticated and delicious meals which reflect her French nationality. She is also very flexible and adapts to her guest’s tastes and preferences. In other words "toad in a hole" or "grits" may need some explanation but the lady of the house will make it! Enjoy home-made bread and jam, yogurts and cakes, international dishes and special desserts. Special menus and baby food on demand. Drinks are not included: |

This chalet is a wonderful solution if you do not mind meeting people (unless you rent the entire chalet of course). Many evenings are spent around the fire place in winter or in the garden around the pool during the summer months, with guests comparing their daily adventures, mishaps and achievements on the mountain. The owners do their upmost to ensure each guest's privacy.

Marie-Pascale is French and a very nice lady indeed. Her English needs some practice but she makes a big effort to understand. She compensates her limited vocabulary with sign language and an international and effective big smile.
Alexis makes sure the open fire in the living room does not go out and that nobody needs anything.
They are neither slaves nor servants, they are there to make your holiday as pleasant and comfortable as they can. You can perfect your French during your holiday and they can improve their English. Basically, they are a very pleasant, somewhat eccentric and original couple. Their age is difficult to determine but somewhere between 40 and 60 would be about right!

The perfect vacation for asthmatics
or persons that do not like acarus or itch-mites:
The pure air in Arinsal is perfect for
persons with respiratory problems. It has also been scientifically proven
that acarus or itch-mites cannot survive at this altitude (1'500m).

in the village (within walking distance from the chalet):
4 restaurants, 5 pubs, bread shop, 6
cafés, bank, car rental, a cybercafé, a mineral water fountain,
2 ski rental shops, ski pass purchase, cable car, pharmacy, a laundrette, 3
supermarkets and 1 disco. None of the above mentioned services are located
too close and thus do not create a disturbance at night. Some of them may close
during the low season.
